Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal state and local EHS regulations and company policies.
• Develop implement and maintain EHS programs procedures and policies for manufacturing operations.
• Conduct EHS risk assessments and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Lead incident investigations for accidents near misses and environmental excursions implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees.
• Manage hazardous waste streams and ensure proper disposal and record-keeping.
• Perform regular EHS audits and inspections to identify non-compliance and areas for improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Engineering or a related science/engineering field
• 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
• In-depth knowledge and practical application of OSHA EPA and DOT regulations
• Professional certification such as CSP CIH or CHMM
• Experience developing implementing and managing EHS management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001)

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma certification/experience in process improvement.
• Experience with sustainability initiatives ESG reporting or carbon footprint reduction programs.
• Proficiency with advanced EHS management software platforms (e.g. Intelex Cority Sphera).
• Previous experience managing EHS across multiple manufacturing sites or in a global context.
