Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products components and systems from concept to production.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models assemblies and technical drawings.
• Conduct design analysis simulations (e.g. FEA) and validations to optimize performance and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production processes (DFM/DFA).
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements cost and performance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation including BOMs specifications and test plans.
• Support prototyping testing and troubleshooting activities for new and existing products.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Inventor) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining welding injection molding sheet metal fabrication).
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of engineering materials their properties and application in product design.
• Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with FEA or CFD simulation software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of specific manufacturing processes such as injection molding CNC machining or sheet metal fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping testing or shop floor operations.
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
