The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and program PLC HMI and SCADA systems for manufacturing processes.
Integrate and commission industrial robots vision systems and other automated equipment.
Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve complex issues within automation and control systems.
Optimize existing automated processes to improve efficiency throughput and product quality.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all automation solutions.
Collaborate with production maintenance and engineering teams on automation projects.
Ensure all automation systems adhere to safety standards and industry regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Mechatronics or a related technical field.
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens Allen-Bradley) HMI/SCADA development and industrial networking protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP Profinet).
Hands-on experience with industrial robots (e.g. Fanuc Kuka ABB) and machine vision systems.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems and optimize manufacturing processes.
Experience with project lifecycle management from design and commissioning to maintenance and upgrades in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with industrial robotics (e.g. FANUC KUKA ABB) programming and integration.
Proficiency in industrial vision systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence) for inspection and guidance.
Familiarity with data analytics platforms (e.g. Python SQL Power BI) for manufacturing data.
Understanding of industrial network architecture and OT cybersecurity best practices.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience applied to automation projects.
