Job Title: Special Education Teacher (SPED) Multiple Disabilities Program
Location:Leesburg VA
Shift: 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
Duration: 20 Weeks (Contract)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students within a Multiple Disabilities program. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who have significant and complex needs including medical physical cognitive and adaptive challenges. This role requires strong instructional skills patience and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary support team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction aligned with each students Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Support students with complex medical needs limited mobility and significant developmental challenges.
Assist students with adaptive and self-care skills including feeding toileting hygiene and physical positioning.
Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals therapists nurses and related service providers.
Implement behavior strategies routines and supports that promote safety independence and student engagement.
Modify curriculum classroom materials and learning activities based on individual needs and goals.
Maintain accurate documentation progress updates and records per district and state requirements.
Communicate effectively with families administrators and the multidisciplinary team.
Foster a safe inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Ability to support students with medical physical and developmental disabilities
Familiarity with adaptive equipment positioning strategies and assistive technology
