Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Intelligence (BI) Testing Specialist to ensure the accuracy reliability and performance of BI solutions. The role involves validating data integrity ETL processes dashboards and reporting systems to support informed business decisions.
Core Responsibilities
We are moving from on-prem to Fabric cloud environment so we need people who can help us with the testing of our migrated setup and data.
You will need to write queries or build scripts to test the data as well as automate the testing
You will need to understand the flow of data in on-prem servers as well as on Fabric (post migration) along with some understanding of Miles
You will need to do a comparison between the on-prem server data and the migrated data and the Miles source data (by using scripts and not by checking only a few records or count of records)
Collaborate with data engineers developers and business analysts to resolve defects and optimize BI solutions.
Document test results and provide clear defect reports using tools like JIRA or similar.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
5 years of experience in Quality Assurance roles with BI/Reporting
Strong experience in SQL testing
Experience in writing clear concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies testing integrations end-to-end system processes and tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
Programming Language:
Strong SQL knowledge
Pyspark (Or any kind of Coding Language)
