Trades ApprenticeMaintenance Repairer 1-2

We are seeking a dedicated hardworking individual as a Trades Apprentice to assist in the daily operation of the duties of the Area Maintenance Department on the Pinecrest Supports and Services grounds.

No experience or training is required.

Job Duties:

• Plumbing: Repair and install commodes lavatories water fountains garbage disposals. Unstop sewer lines and drains repair leaks repair/replace faucets.
• Electrical: Repair light bulbs. Repair/replace ballasts receptacles switches and fans. Replace motors pumps etc.
• Appliance Repair: Repair washing machines dryers ice machines and refrigerators.
• Carpentry: Repair doors door closers hinges cabinet doors knobs baseboards cabinets furniture door stops windows etc.
• Refrigeration: Perform preventative maintenance and maintenance to a/c units and air handlers. Clean coils; work on pumps to air handlers and motors chill water valves controls belts and filters.
• Keep check on hot water temperatures and maintain log.
• Run and service generators and maintain log. Inspects fire extinguishers monthly and maintains a log.

Location: Pinecrest Supports and Services Center - Area Maintenance

Shift: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Pass Days: Sunday and Monday

Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Probation Promotion Demotion Lateral Transfer or Detail to Special Duty. Preferences may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
