The role

As the Workforce Planning and Policy Specialist you will play a key role in supporting strategic workforce planning and policy initiatives that enable the organisation to attract the right talent and skills. Your responsibilities include coordinating projects conducting research and analysis and contributing to the development of frameworks guidelines and tools that inform workforce reform and strategic decision-making.

Working in a dynamic environment you will manage multiple priorities and deadlines while interpreting complex workforce data to produce clear actionable insights. Success in this role requires strong collaboration across teams effective stakeholder engagement and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a practical and accessible way. Your work will ensure workforce strategies are consistently applied future-focused and aligned with organisational priorities..

What you will bring to the role

  • Demonstrated experience supporting workforce planning policy development or organisational reform initiatives in a complex environment.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and translate insights into practical tools and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple streams of work manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Clear and confident communication skills including experience preparing reports briefings and stakeholder-facing materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build relationships that support the successful delivery of strategic workforce initiatives.
  • Familiarity with workforce planning tools templates and processes and a commitment to continuous improvement and best practice.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated experience delivering strategic HR projects and/or developing HR frameworks policies and guidelines

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or demonstrated equivalent experience in strategic workforce planning delivering strategic HR projects and development of HR frameworks policies and guidelines
