Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the management of show quality guest satisfaction Team Member satisfaction financial results safety and special events for Entertainment Operations. Directs the daily operations and develops the Entertainment team and partners with UDX internal and external partners to design develop implement and operate seasonal overlays and special events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for strategically planning and directing Entertainment Operations resulting in a seamless and exemplary guest experience including but not limited to maintaining show quality generating show schedules pitching new offerings festival overlays and marquee events participating in new production development and improving existing shows and characters. Partners with UDX internal and external partners licensors and intellectual properties to drive key business results and special events.
  • Drives and executes plans for Entertainment Operations that directly affect TSAT GSAT and safety standards while utilizing existing tools to measure and monitor performance against targets and develops appropriate action plans to achieve or exceed targets. Collaborates with UDX counterparts to ensure operational and development initiatives are effectively executed.
  • Provides leadership coaching and mentoring to achieve maximum results and empower the management team to drive and make decisions. Creates a culture that is supportive and respectful to support a positive environment. Partners with General Manager and Human Resources to manage concerns and issues in a timely manner and to resolution.
  • Develops realistic budgets that meet organizational requirements while adhering to financial responsibilities. Analyzes results and adjusts the operation as necessary responding reasonably to existing conditions and controlling costs.
  • Oversees the Auditions and Casting strategies for hiring and contracting all performing internal and external talent. Manages the audition and contracting processes including procedures staffing training location vendor set up payments communication operational flow and safety compliance.
  • Responsible for effectively communicating necessary information which pertains to the Entertainment Operations to all impacted parties including but not limited to Entertainment leadership Team Members and third-party vendors. Ensures all Entertainment operating and safety standards are maintained monitors related issues and assesses industry trends to mitigate hazards.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of Intellectual Property partnership and management.
  • Exceptional communications organizational and project management skills with strong ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience supporting and integrating a culture of exceptional standards of Guest service across multiple hospitality activities.
  • Experience evaluating and analyzing Guest feedback and trends driving innovations based on this feedback and assessing the competitive market for on-going or future development.
  • Non-gaming Work Card

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 9 years in professional theater theme park corporate entertainment or hospitality; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Experience working with Intellectual Property holders is preferred. Will require a flexible schedule including late night/weekend/holiday hours based on business needs. Some domestic travel may be required.
