The Employee Health Assistant position is at the Livingston Orthopedic Surgery Center (LOSC)

Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Monitors and promotes the health and well-being of employees through various programs and initiatives.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Assists in monitoring the health of employees by coordinating appointments and organizing medical records. Maintains confidentiality of employee health information and complies with all relevant privacy laws and regulations.
  • Collects documents and reports vital signs. May complete screening questions and documentation or minor specimen testing as assigned.
  • Ensures environmental standards are met and all unit and patient areas are stocked cleaned and maintained.
  • Collaborates with management to develop and implement health and wellness programs for employees.
  • Coordinates department communications and the processes related to administrative and environmental activities on the unit.
  • Completes continuing education and participates in offered educational opportunities. May act as a preceptor and train other staff.

Education Requirement:

  • High School graduate or equivalent GED required.
  • Successful completion of an approved medical terminology course or demonstration of equivalent competence required.

Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

Current CPR certification (BLS-Health Care Provider) preferred.


Skills:

  • Computer skills required. Ability to navigate most current technology systems.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Possess effective interpersonalverbal non-verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

Previous health care experience in medical office or clinic setting preferred.
