Job Summary

The role

BDR Thermea Group is strengthening its Commercial Business Area as part of our Strategy 2030 ambitions growing our commercial business and accelerating the energy transition across Europe.

As our Director Commercial Portfolio Management you shape and steer the full commercial portfolio across key European markets. You translate our long-term strategy into a clear use-case roadmap ensuring we deliver integrated value-driven commercial heating and cooling solutions.

You lead an international team of Use Case Managers and Local Portfolio Managers working closely with R&D Technical Product Management and local market organisations. This role is central to our shift from product-led sales to full solution selling combining systems controls and services into competitive decarbonising solutions for commercial buildings.

This is a hybrid role based in Apeldoorn NL (12 days per week on-site).

Your key responsibilities

  • Build and drive the commercial portfolio and use-case strategy across Europe.

  • Own the system and product roadmap ensuring strong alignment with market needs R&D and Technical Product Management.

  • Lead portfolio lifecycle management and new product development stage-gates including business case approval and value proposition validation.

  • Drive margin optimisation value-based pricing and portfolio profitability.

  • Lead and develop an international team to deliver consistent high-quality portfolio execution across markets.

What you bring

  • 1015 years of experience in portfolio management in a technical/industrial B2B environment (HVAC/energy is a strong plus).

  • Proven leadership in matrix and international organisations.

  • Experience steering product-to-solution transitions and managing complex stakeholder landscapes.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen including pricing and business case ownership.

  • Strategic thinker able to translate market complexity into clear direction and execution.

  • Exposure to multi-country commercial B2B environments
