Job Summary

Permanent Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Were looking for a dynamic forward-thinking Independent Living Operations Manager to lead a high-performing fast-paced service supporting older adults disabled people and vulnerable customers across the borough.


Youll provide operational leadership to teams delivering housing management and support and our 24-hour Carecall telecare response service. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on empowering people driving change and delivering outstanding customer experience.


What youll do:
Lead motivate and develop a large dispersed and on-site workforce delivering services 24/7.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality person-centred housing management and support services that promote independence.
Be accountable for team performance achieving KPIs and maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Drive change continuous improvement and service innovation while identifying opportunities for growth.
Effectively manage service budgets external contracts and resources to ensure value for money.
Lead on business continuity planning and project delivery.
Work with development teams and key partners to shape new specialist housing provision.
Ensure Carecall maintains compliance with the TSA Quality Standards Framework putting customer and staff safety first.
Act as a safeguarding champion for the service.
Build strong positive relationships with Stockport Council and other key partners.
Deputise for the Head of Independent Living when required.


About you:
Were looking for a confident resilient leader who can inspire teams and deliver results across a varied and evolving service area. You will:
Be highly organised self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities.
Perform effectively under pressure handling complex situations with professionalism.
Bring experience in leading large teams and managing staffing issues.
Be a strong problem solver with the ability to resolve issues quickly while maintaining excellent customer service.
Understand best practice in service delivery safeguarding and housing support.
Be confident managing budgets and analysing performance data.
Represent SHG positively championing our values at all times.
