MUFG is seeking an experienced FX Trader to join its team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers the opportunity to apply expertise in alpha generation in G10 FX spot and forward markets while developing skills in FX options and regional currencies. Known for fostering a collaborative environment MUFG values analytical abilities and market insights supported by strong regional knowledge in FX option position management. You will play a key role in managing client flows and contributing to the desks PL diversification strategy. What Youll Do:

As Vice President of Global Markets Trading you will focus on broadening the desks revenue streams by executing strategies within G10 spot and forward markets. Your responsibilities will include managing client flows with precision supporting MYR spot trading activities as an integral team member and building your expertise in FX options under the guidance of senior colleagues. You will collaborate across desksworking closely with sales teams to deliver tailored pricing solutions for clients while staying informed on market trends through engagement with research analysts. Your ability to monitor real-time risks across multiple products will be critical for maintaining robust governance standards.

1. G10 Trading & Alpha Generation (Primary Focus)

• Lead alphagenerating trading strategies in G10 FX spot and forward markets contributing significantly to overall desk P&L.

• Execute and manage G10 currency exposures ensuring competitive pricing disciplined risk taking and highquality execution.

• Manage G10 client flow ensuring optimal hedging and risk transfer.

2. MYR Spot Trading Support

• Assist in managing MYR spot flow acting as a supporting / follower trader to the primary MYR spot trader.

• Ensure efficient execution of internal and external flows and maintain smooth daily trading operations.

3. FX Options Trading (Growth Area)

• Support basic activities in FX options including pricing and simple risk monitoring.

• Demonstrate strong willingness to learn and expand skillsets into active FX options trading across G10 and regional currencies.

• Collaborate with senior traders to develop options knowledge in volatility skew and risk exposures.

4. Regional Expertise & Cross-Desk Collaboration

• Leverage the desks regional expertise in position management to enhance trade structuring improve funding economics and identify cross-market opportunities.

• Work closely with sales research and risk teams to deliver quality pricing deepen client relationships and respond to market opportunities.

5. Risk Management & Governance

• Monitor and manage real-time risk exposures across spot forward and basic option positions while adhering to trading limits and VaR thresholds.

• Maintain compliance with internal controls BNM regulations and global FX market standards.

6. Market Awareness & Strategy Development

• Stay updated on global macroeconomic developments interest rate policies and geopolitical events that affect G10 and regional FX markets.

• Translate market insights into actionable trading strategies and flowbased opportunities.

What Youll Bring:

To excel as Vice President of Global Markets Trading you should bring extensive experience from leading financial institutions where you have honed your technical skills in G10 FX spot/forward markets alongside strong client flow management capabilities. Your background should demonstrate deep product knowledge with a willingness to expand into new areas such as FX optionssupported by formal education in quantitative disciplines. A commitment to ethical conduct combined with familiarity with Malaysian market dynamics will set you apart. Strong interpersonal skillsespecially when collaborating across departmentswill be essential for achieving success in this role.

• A degree in Finance Mathematics Statistics Engineering Computer Science or another quantitative discipline provides a solid foundation for success.

• Possession of valid PPKM certification (Pasaran Pertukaran Kewangan Malaysia) is mandatory; additional certifications like CFA or FRM are beneficial.

• 810 years of experience in FX tradingparticularly within G10 spot/forward marketswith proven alpha generation under varying market conditions.

• Proven experience managing client flow in G10 currencies ensures you can deliver optimal hedging solutions while building lasting client relationships.

• Familiarity with FX options is required along with a genuine interest in developing deeper expertise across both G10 and regional currencies.

• Knowledge of MYR trading is advantageous; however active contribution within this area is essential for seamless integration into the team.

• Proficiency using Bloomberg or Refinitiv/Eikon platforms enables sound decision-making in fast-paced environments.

• High standards of professionalism combined with strong ethical principles ensure compliance with Malaysian regulatory requirements (BNM) and global best practices.

• Excellent communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively across diverse teamsincluding trading peers as well as sales functionsto achieve shared goals.
