Position: WinterMusical - Music Director
Location: Ellensburg High School
Reports to: Producer and ASB Coordinator
Contract Amount: $1500.00

Job Summary: Oversees all aspects below and seeks out additional expertise or support as needed. Reports directly to Producer/ Head Coach. Work closely with educate and supervise all student crew in this area. Work closely with and supervise all parent and community volunteers in this area.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with Director and Producer/Head Coach on show selection understanding that the final choice is the Producer/Head Coachs responsibility with approval from the activities office at EHS.
- Supervise and direct all musical aspects of the production
- Attend auditions and help cast show in conjunction with Director and Producer/Head Coach
- Help to establish and coordinate production schedule
- Coordinate rehearsal music including playing piano parts coordinating rehearsal music tracks and/or hiring an accompanist
- Teach music as needed to cast
- Teach musical performance techniques and projection
- Act as vocal coach and/or oversee vocal coach(es)
- Collaborate with other directors and designers in coordinating musical elements with regard to directors vision
- Coordinate with Producer to hire Conductor (if applicable)
- Coordinate with Conductor and Producer to arrange for additional rehearsals for orchestra (if applicable)
- Arrange music and parts adjustments with Conductor Director and Producer/Licensing to accommodate show/student needs
- Conduct band (if applicable)
- Reports directly to Producer/ Head Coach
- Maintain accurate accounts of spending according to budget
- Attend set strike; deconstruct pit area take care of all music related items: stands.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must qualify to work in the proximity of children under the conditions of a WSP/FBI background check.
- Applicant is responsible for cost of fingerprints
