Job Summary | The Program Coordinator assists the Program Director with the successful development implementation continuity and sustainability of the Rensselaer Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP). The Coordinator assists with the recruitment and on-boarding of program participants and with the development and scheduling of programs and workshops; provides support in the preparation accuracy and maintenance of student records and evaluations as required by the grant; and works with the Program Director to develop the annual program reports. |
Minimum Qualifications | - Associates Degree in STEM or other related field
- 3 or more years relevant experience
- Valid US drivers license
Relevant combinations of education training and experience may be considered. |
Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities | - Ability to work with diverse populations including middle and high school students (grades 7-12) parents and guardians
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects with multiple deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and follow up on constituent issues as needed
- Willingness and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Knowledge Skill and Abilities | Technical proficiency including; the ability to use web authoring tools to update web pages/sites for the program |
Shift | Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required |
Travel | Occasional overnight travel may be required (10% or less) |
Driving | Incidental driving possible but not required |
Starting Salary/Rate | Expected hiring range: $20.00 - $24.16 / hr Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidates salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget internal equity and the final candidates qualifications experience education and other job-related credentials.
