Stevens ACES Program Coordinator Part Time (Fixed Term)

Stevens ACES(Accessing Careers in Engineering and Science)increasesthe number of academically talented students from all backgrounds who face financial hardship and helps them become tomorrows technological leadersentrepreneursand innovators.

Through scholarship mentoring and support ACES provides high school and enrolled undergraduate students with the support and resources that they and their families may need to be successful at Stevens through access to scholarships programming pre-professionaland career opportunities.

PositionOverview:

The Stevens ACESProgram Coordinatoris responsible forsupporting all aspects relating to the design and organization of special programs and activities whichfacilitatethe academic and personal growth of the pre-college participants. Reporting to the Director ofUndergraduate OutreachPrograms theProgram Coordinatoractively supports thepre-college program withing the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Pre-College Programs with specializedfocusedon the Accessing Careers in Engineering and Science (ACES) program.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct support to theDirector of Undergraduate Outreach Programs

  • Assistingwith the designcoordinationand implementation ofprogramming fortheStevens ACESpartnershiphigh schools

  • Leadthe development oftheprogramssocialmediamarketing campaigns

  • Coordinateand providesupport to our high school partners.

  • Prepare and deliver programming and presentations covering topics such as career development and college readiness.

  • Communicate opportunities and provide broad support to our pre-collegeparents/guardians sponsors/donors high schools and community partners

  • Assistinthedevelopmentandgrowthofdepartmentalinitiativesandresponsibilitiesasassigned

  • Providegeneral supportfor the Stevens pre-college summer program.

  • Support Undergraduate Admissions and Enrollment Management events as needed including all-hands-on-deck activities and divisional initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in education counseling STEM or a related field OR equivalent experience

  • Ability to manage group dynamics and foster a welcoming and inclusive program culture

  • Preferencegiventocandidateswithexperience inyouth development workforce development or educational programs

  • Strong written/verbal communication interpersonal and presentation skills preferred

  • Willingnesstolearnnewskillsandaninterestinthefieldofyouth programming.

  • Available to work up to 25 hours per week

Compensation:

Compensation will be $25-$30 hourly ratefor a1 year fixed-term appointment with the possibility of reappointment

Compensation Range

In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act the annual base range for this position is $25-$30 hourly rate. This range represents the Universitys good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the positions scope and responsibilities the candidates experience education skills internal equity market data and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget qualifications and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation such as incentives stipends or other applicable pay components.
