Job Summary

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing tech startup based in Malaysia expanding its engineering and product teams across the APAC region. We are looking for a highly driven Internal Talent Acquisition (IT) Specialist with strong APAC hunting experience to join the team.

You will start as a remote freelancer for the first 2 months. If performance is successful the company will support your relocation to Malaysia and convert you into a full-time internal TA.

Key Responsibilities

1. Internal TA & APAC Talent Hunting

  • Act as in-house recruiter focusing on IT roles across the APAC market.
  • Utilize multiple channels (LinkedIn job boards social media GitHub communities referrals etc.) to source and engage top tech talent.
  • Proactively hunt and approach passive candidates that fit specific hiring requirements.

2. End-to-End Recruitment Process

  • Review and evaluate CVs/resumes to shortlist qualified candidates.
  • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess:
    • Technical background & experience (in coordination with hiring managers where needed)
    • Cultural fit and motivation
  • Manage the candidate pipeline follow up regularly and ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.

3. Internal Data & Talent Pool Management

  • Maintain and update internal candidate database / ATS with accurate and structured information.
  • Build and nurture talent pools for key roles (Backend Frontend QA Product Design Data etc.) across APAC.
  • Prepare regular recruitment reports and tracking dashboards for internal stakeholders.

4. Employer Branding

  • Work with the internal team to promote the companys employer brand on LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
  • Support content ideas and campaigns that help attract tech talent in APAC (posts messages events communities etc.).

Requirements

  • Strong LinkedIn network:

    • Minimum 4000 LinkedIn connections primarily professionals in APAC in areas such as:
      • Quality Control (Manual & Automation)
      • Backend Development
      • Frontend Development
      • Product Design
      • Data Engineering
  • Recruitment Expertise:

    • Solid understanding of IT roles and tech stacks.
    • Proven experience with sourcing hunting and closing candidates in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiar with modern recruiting tools and strategies (Boolean search LinkedIn Recruiter talent communities etc.).
  • Soft Skills & Work Style:

    • Excellent communication negotiation and influencing skills to secure top talent.
    • Ability to work independently organize your own pipeline and manage time effectively.
    • Comfortable working with performance-based KPIs.
  • Language:

    • Strong English communication skills (both written and spoken).
    • Other APAC languages are a plus.
  • Performance KPIs:

    • Deliver 20-40 qualified CVs per month (profiles that pass internal screening and are submitted to hiring managers).

Onsite Benefits

  • Working Mode: 2 months remote as freelancer then relocate to Malaysia upon successful performance.
  • Total income of up to USD 2000/month (net after tax)
  • Housing allowance: USD 500/month
  • Annual flight ticket to home country: USD 1200/year
  • All work equipment provided by the company
  • Full coverage of visa and relocation costs

  1. HR Interview Culture & Motivation (30 minutes)
  2. Technical Interview (60 minutes)
  3. Background Verification (up to 5 days)
  4. Offer Issuance (within 2 days after verification)
