About the Role
Due to internal promotions Hastings Deeringis currently recruiting for 2x Parts Advisors to join our high performing Customer Care Centre. These are permanent fulltime positions located in our Archerfield office.


Reporting to theCustomer Care Supervisor Technical the primary responsibility of this role will be to provide maximum customer satisfaction by ensuring all customer contact are professionally handled and customer orders are processed promptly and accurately.


This role will involve the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer parts requirements are promptly and accurately interpreted using the correct information sources

  • Ensure the provision of an efficient phone service answering all phone calls in a polite and helpful manner

  • Process battery/and other warranty claims in accordance with correct procedures

  • Ensure related parts selling is practised whenever relevant and beneficial

  • Customer enquiries orders are processed through Microsoft Dynamics AX in an accurate and timely manner

  • Ensure customer credit policies and procedures are correctly implemented including Procedures for the application of the Goods and Services Tax (GST)

  • Ensure EFP or NEFP status of customer orders is interpreted in accordance with the Caterpillar and company policy

  • Customers legitimate requests for published technical information are satisfied by reference to various approved publications

  • If customer needs are not satisfied with information provided ensure referral to theappropriate service advisor or submit technical request to the Technical Communicator Group

About You

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role preferably within a Heavy Machinery Industry

  • Intermediate Computer Skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

  • You enjoy problem solving and working with other stakeholders in getting outcomes!

  • Having an understanding in Caterpillar parts operation procedures and product range will by highly regarded!
