We are looking for a proactive organised and highly skilled Head of Sales to join our dynamic fast-paced and growing company. As the Head of Sales you are responsible for driving the sales function ensuring revenue growth and developing a strong market presence through strategic channel partnerships. The Client Success Manager will report into this role ensuring efficient project execution and client relationship management while maintaining alignment with the overall business strategy.
Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute a results-driven sales strategy for assigned portfolio;
Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets through structured sales planning; and
Identify new market opportunities customer segments and partnership strategies.
Partnership Development
Build and maintain relationships with key partners resellers and distributors within dedicated portfolio;
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for channel partners; and
Negotiate contracts pricing structures and incentive programs to drive optimal performance.
Sales Operations & Collaboration with Marketing
Work closely with Marketing to ensure efficient lead distribution pipeline management and sales workflow optimisation;
Ensure CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot) are effectively utilised for data tracking and reporting; and
Align with marketing to streamline lead generation ensuring the sales team receives high-quality leads.
Account & Client Relationship Management
Manage client relationships ensuring retention and satisfaction;
Implement customer engagement strategies to drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities; and
Gather and act on customer feedback to refine sales approaches.
Project Execution & Coordination
Oversee the Client Success Manager to ensure seamless execution of sales campaigns partner activations and internal projects;
Monitor project timelines ensuring alignment with overall sales goals and business objectives; and
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver successful sales initiatives.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
Track market trends competitor activities and industry insights to inform sales strategies;
Provide senior management with sales forecasts reports and strategic recommendations; and
Adapt sales tactics based on industry shifts and emerging opportunities.

Strong leadership and team management abilities;
Proven experience in channel sales business development and strategic partnerships;
Excellent negotiation relationship-building and stakeholder management skills;
Ability to manage cross-functional teams including sales operations and client services;
Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce ZOHO HubSpot) and data-driven decision-making;
Work from the office in Johannesburg 2-3 days a week (or as required); and
Be available to travel outside of Johannesburg.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Sales Marketing or a related field;
8 years of experience in sales leadership roles with at least 3 years managing channel sales; and
Experience managing Client Success Managers to enhance operational efficiency and client success.
Required Skills:
