Join our team at Mater Private HospitalMackay as an Assistant in Nursing on a Casual basis. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to provide safe and quality patient-centered care under the guidance of experienced clinical teams.
Mater Private Hospital Mackay provides the highest level of specialist care to patients their families carers and team of industry professionals work together as a cohesive and collaborative unit going above and beyond to provide patient-centred care and deliver the highest level of clinical standards for the patient and the unit.
Salary range: $33.20 - $36.35 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!
What youll be doing
The Assistant in Nursing assists and supports the clinical teams in providing safe and quality patient-centered care under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
- Gathering information about patient care needs through observation and notification to the senior clinical staff of identified changes in the health and functional status of patients promptly
- Assist in the provision of care and support of patients within the scope of Assistant in Nursing practice professional expertise
- Undertaking observations and assessments
- Following the direction and delegation of the appropriate senior clinical staff member
- Assisting with safe mobility patient hygiene and toileting including appearance and dietary needs
- Reporting any concerns and feedback to the Team Leader/RNto maintain a safe and secure environment for patients
About you
To be considered suitable for the AIN positionyou will be:
- Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or Health Services Assistance
- Flexibility to work in various wards adaptability to seamlessly integrate in to different teams and work under different NUMs
- Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
- Proficiency in digital and computer skills including Microsoft 365 applications
- Prior comparable experience as an Assistant in Nursing or Personal Care Assistant (Desirable)
