We are seeking two Senior Finance Managers to join the Financial Reporting and Planning branch. These permanent roles offer the chance to lead either the Corporate Reporting Team or the Financial Planning Team. These positions are integral to the effective operation of our Financial Reporting and Planning branch and play a vital role in safeguarding resources for the people of Scotland who need them most.
The Senior Financial Planning Manager role is responsible for leading the annual budget setting process for the organisation ensuring a balanced budget position is reached. You will be also responsible for the longer-term financial planning and forecasting for the organisation providing assurance around financial sustainability. You will also be involved in the co-ordination of resources and capital commissions to Scottish Government.
The Senior Corporate Reporting Manager leads the production of the Annual Report and Accounts ensuring the correct application of relevant accounting standards and compliance with the Financial Reporting Manual. You will also lead the ongoing monitoring and reporting of the organisations Operating Expenditure Capital and Depreciation costs. Through regular engagement with budget holders you will produce accurate in-year and future year forecasting information and lead on the completion of budget revision exercises.
Both roles require strong leadership strategic thinking and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive environment with the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact on how we manage public finances.
