Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital
In this role youll be responsible for the daily engineering and maintenance activities that keep our SEM hospitals safe functional and compliant. Youll help maintain a high-quality environment for caregivers patients and visitors while ensuring all work aligns with SJGHC standards and regulatory requirements. You will also coordinate with contracted service providers to ensure services are delivered accurately and on schedule.
The Position
Perform relevant maintenance tasks within the scope of the incumbents qualification and level of skill.
Administer MEX system.
Establish working relationships with hospital(s) caregivers in order to deliver maintenance and to meet reported faults.
External relationships with contracted service providers in relation with provision of maintenance services.
In conjunction with Facilities Manager SEM initiate and supervise Service Agreements with external contractors and keep a register of Service reports.
Complete contractor inductions.
Participate in audits.
Manage a small stock of essential spare parts and organise purchase of maintenance related items in line with the hospital(s) purchasing policy and procedures.
Provide assistance and advice to other departments on engineering related issues and organise minor works such as alterations and renovations within the scope of qualifications/skill
You will have previous experience in a similar role and the ability to undertake general handyperson duties and minor repairs and you have Victorian Drivers Licence and own car.
To succeed must be available for on-call after hours roster on a rotational basis and willing to travel as reasonably required between SEM sites.

Salary: $33 to $34 per hour (casual loading included) plus 12% superannuation
