One of the goals of our Country Plan is that young people are active and engaged on the path to reaching their full Roles and ResponsibilitiesKey duties include:Over the three-year period the Education Liaison Officer will:Be responsible for implementing the Education Liaison Program Project Plan and will help monitor the impact of the program for Eastern Maar a new Cultural Education in Schools on Eastern Maar Country Program focused on the development and delivery of curriculum in schools (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures across one or more of the Victorian Curriculum F-10 learning areas)oWorking with the Eastern Maar Cultural Advisory Group lead the development and implementation of the Cultural Education in Schools on Eastern Maar Country Program. oWhere appropriate work with the Language Coordinator and Language Revitalisation Subcommittee to support the Eastern Maar language in schools Support complement and strengthen existing and emerging education-related programs in the southwest region that align with Eastern Maar community needs and the education categories in the Strengthening Aboriginal Self-Determination in Education report. Programs include the Koorie Career Pathways and Aspirations Day and the Koorie Youth Leadership Eastern Maar in working groups and between the school community and Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation to deliver outcomes for Eastern Maar and First Nations students. Build and maintain strong relationships with key Eastern Maar cultural leaders and education sector general tasksWriting and preparing progress reports.
