About the role

The Investment Evaluation team is looking for a motivated individual to join the team as a Senior Analyst. Reporting to the Manager Investment Evaluation you will be part of a well-respected team.

The role is to undertake and support the evaluation of capital and operating investment proposals to inform efficient and optimised expenditure includes reviewing business cases and completing financial / economic modelling and evaluation including for ad hoc strategic initiatives across Water Corporation..

What you can expect with this role

  • You will undertake financial modelling and business case assessments for major new and existing business opportunities.
  • Provide appropriate financial evaluation and commercial consultancy advice to internal clients to support investment options analysis and strategic decision making.
  • Provide major inputs into policies procedures and methodologies

Your skills and experience

For this role we are looking for great talent with:

  • A degree in commerce economics or a relevant financial or business discipline and ideally have experience in financial modelling project evaluation and/or business case assessments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in dealing with sensitive issues and senior management.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills especially in succinctly conveying complex technical concepts and issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills to proactively engage and manage a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Experience in the analysis of the commercial aspects of major business initiatives or other major transactions.
