The Role
Youll own the multiplayer systems architecture for a hardcore PC shooter targeting competitive players who notice every frame.
Core Focus:
- Design server-authoritative gameplay with client prediction and lag compensation
- Build weapon systems with ballistics penetration and damage modeling
- Optimize for rock-solid 60 FPS in high-intensity multiplayer scenarios
- Establish Unreal networking best practices across the team
Youll Also Touch:
- Inventory replication and loot systems
- Session management and matchmaking integration
- Backend service integration as systems scale
What You Bring
Required:
- 3 years with Unreal Engine multiplayer development (C)
- Shipped at least 1 commercial multiplayer title
- Deep understanding of replication RPCs and lag compensation
- Hands-on weapon systems or combat mechanics experience
Bonus:
- Extraction shooter or Battle Royale background
- Gameplay Ability System (GAS) expertise
- Experience scaling to 1000 concurrent players
- Anti-cheat or competitive integrity work
