About the Role:
The Studio Resource Lead has an important role within Gallaghers Art Department our global in-house creative agency of actively managing and optimizing the allocation workload and utilization of the studio team resources while collaborating with the core team to traffic and coordinate projects and resourcing needs across time zones to ensure prioritized use of the Global Resourcing model. This role is also responsible for maintaining visibility and continuity across all active Direct to Studio (DTS) / Studio Team condition projects for efficient use of the team and looking out for design revision coordination with core team resourcing hand-offs.
With a deep understanding of our studio teams talent pool skillsets personalities and workflow the Studio Resource Lead positively contributes to overall team efficiency and adherence to our SLAs. By allocating studio team resources within their respective skillsets and actively monitoring bandwidth to optimize resource utilization this role is a key driver in cultivating an environment conducive to the development of great creative and flawless quality assurance upon release.
Responsibilities:
- Manages resource allocation for all DTS / Studio Team condition projects and all quality control checks and releases in support of project timing and efficiency while prioritizing the Global Resourcing model workflow to maximize turnaround timing where possible.
- Coordinates as needed with the project owner and project manager team to assess project requirements and implications estimating hours identifying and escalating resource conflicts as needed and anticipating workload needs before assigning projects and throughout the project lifecycle within the Studio.
- Proactively monitors DTS / Studio Team condition projects and Studio team allocations throughout the project lifecycle to adjust move or reassign work if/when/as needed to ensure on-time project delivery and a balanced workload across the Studio team.
- Continually monitors resource availability workload capacity constraints and outages to balance priorities and solving or escalating impacts to project timing or allocation.
- Ultimately responsible for global proof-reader team resourcing oversight and utilization as the proof-reader allocation is unique due to the shared use between Core and Studio teams. Studio Resource Lead is charged with coordinating as needed with core team to communicate outages resolving resource conflicts proactively re-allocating tasks and proofs as needed according to hand-offs to Studio and/or Global Resourcing model optimization and escalating issues or feedback notes to Director of Global Studio Operations.
- Maintains quality control standards and processes across the Studio team to ensure on-time and error-free deliverables escalating queries or issues to the core team or leadership as needed.
- Allocates resources spanning time zones in service of the Global Resourcing model goals and expectations and following up to ensure these expectations are met through regular updates and clear communication across other Studio Resourcing Leads and project management team as required.
- Attends team statuses resource huddles and project meetings as required to maintain daily comprehension of active projects and their scope while updating the team as needed on resource priorities and conflicts.
- Builds strong relationships and gains in-depth insights into Studio team members skillsets and weaknesses. Utilizes this knowledge to optimize utilization and allocation to projects where their talents are best suited.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in marketing or related field or equivalent industry experience in this role.
- 3-5 years of experience in a creative agency setting with a proven track record in resource management and project prioritization preferably with production or design experience.
- Working experience with online project management resourcing software Work front preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite programs with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs a plus.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a collaborative team environment is required.
