We are seeking an experienced Senior DBT Developer with deep expertise in Banking Financial Services and Insurance systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DBT SQL ETL processes and cloud-based data platforms. This role requires hands-on expertise in modern data engineering practices and the ability to mentor junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design build and maintain scalable DBT models pipelines and transformations.
- Develop and manage ETL workflows to support analytics reporting and data quality initiatives.
- Optimize SQL queries and ensure best practices in data modeling and data governance.
- Work with cloud data platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP to implement secure and high-performing solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineering analytics and product teams to ensure consistent and reliable data delivery.
- Conduct code reviews implement testing frameworks and enforce development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines transformations and integrations.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in data engineering or BI development.
- Strong hands-on experience with DBT (Core or DBT Cloud) including modeling macros testing and documentation.
- Expertise in SQL with the ability to write optimized complex queries.
- Deep understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data stack principles.
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake BigQuery Redshift or Azure Synapse.
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD processes.
