Scientific Officer ()
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in undergraduate laboratory demonstrations development and management;
- Conducting undergraduate tutorials grading coursework and supervising students;
- Supporting faculty research and operating equipment; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree or higher in Physics Engineering or related field along with relevant work experience;
- Expertise in developing STEM activities and projects (e.g. Arduino IDE programming circuit design and IoT devices sensor technology 3D printing);
- Hands-on experience in vacuum technology and surface science preferred;
- Good interpersonal communication and organisational skills;
- Strong sense of responsibility self-motivation and attention to detail; and
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua).
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for one year. Re appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
