Job Summary
Durango School District is hiring a Girls Basketball Specialist atEscalante Middle School. This coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills strategies and physical training of basketball. We are a member of the San Juan Basin Middle School League. Season begins December 15 2025.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques ofbasketball
- Ability to build rapport with middle school students
- Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
- Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
- Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
- Ability to work positively with coaches staff and administration
- Ability to communicate effectively with student athletes and parents
