Deputy Head Teacher Up to 55000

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
  • Experience teacher with experience teaching across KS3KS5.
  • Proven senior leadership experience with a strong track record in raising attainment.
  • Expertise in staff development and including CPD support.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management pastoral care and inclusive education.
  • Excellent understanding of national teaching leadership and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership across teaching learning and assessment.
  • Use data insights to drive pupil progress and lead achievement-focused teams.
  • Support curriculum development across KS3KS5 ensuring high-quality provision.
  • Lead on behaviour pastoral systems and inclusive practices including SEND.
  • Deliver CPD coaching and mentoring to develop strong confident teaching staff.
  • Oversee safeguarding responsibilities in line with national standards.
  • Foster a culture of self-directed learning (SDL) and high expectations for all.
  • Build positive relationships with staff students families and external partners.
