We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedAutomotive Collision Parts Managerto oversee all aspects of our parts department operations. This crucial role involves managing inventory ensuring the timely and accurate ordering and receiving of parts for collision repairs and coordinating with other departments to maintain operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills a keen eye for detail and in-depth knowledge of automotive parts and collision industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:Accurately maintain inventory control of all parts within the system to minimize obsolescence and ensure availability.
- Ordering & Receiving:Order parts as needed and ensure they arrive in a timely manner. Inspect all delivered parts for any damage or inaccuracies immediately.
- Vendor Relations:Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors regularly communicating on the status and delivery of parts.
- Team Leadership:Hire train motivate counsel and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.
- Coordination:Work closely with the Collision Center Manager and Estimators to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
- Documentation:Ensure all purchases are properly accounted for and all parts are correctly tagged to ensure proper credit and cost recovery.
- Problem Solving:Promptly address and resolve any issues with incorrect parts or customer complaints related to the parts department.
Qualifications
- Experience:2 years of experience in an automotive parts department; prior parts management experience is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software basic computer skills and strong organizational capabilities.
- Communication:Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Certifications:I-CAR or ASE certifications are a plus.
- Other:High school diploma or equivalent valid drivers license and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
