Reporting to the Community Impact Centre Manager the Program Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and development of programs at the Community Impact Centres (CIC). This role oversees the coordination of activities related to securing setting up and supporting the Centres programs aiming to promote guests self-sustainability and their journey towards positive change. Key responsibilities include program planning design facilitation and evaluation as well as recruiting and training volunteers. The Program Coordinator connects TMS with external agencies to build healthy partnerships providing holistic wrap-around support for clients and promoting self-advocacy. This role will be working very closely with CIC Site Leads and other staff.
Employment Type: Temporary Full-Time (December to March 31 2026)
Schedule 1: Strathcona CIC - Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (schedule will be determined)
Schedule 2: Canora CIC - Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday to Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.(schedule will be determined)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop facilitate and implement programs that support and nurture the community in and around the assigned Community Impact Centre in collaboration with the CIC Site Lead;
- Build and nurture relationships with external partners and stakeholders for healthy collaboration;
- Oversee all group programming provided for Community Impact Centre guests;
- Lead participants and volunteers involved in the programs;
- Ensure a safe respectful environment for all community members staff volunteers and visitors;
- Recruit and provide volunteers with necessary trainings to ensure programs are delivered effectively;
- Collect data and generate reports on statistics as required;
- Develop and conduct evaluations to determine effectiveness of program activities;
- Ensure all materials and equipment needed for programs are in good working order;
- Collaborate with key departments (Housing Wellness and Employment) to ensure programs are accessible;
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism;
- Support Front Line staff outside program coordination hours or as needed such as basic interventions referrals and general front-line responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- An undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field or equivalent level of experience;
- Minimum of 1 years experience working in program facilitation and development;
- Minimum of 2 years of Front-line Experience and understanding of vulnerable populations;
- Knowledge within the field of community development and community resilience initiatives;
- Demonstrated ability to engage communicate and work effectively with a diverse;
range of people from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds; - Experienced with developing and encouraging staff to come up with creative solutions to complex challenges and problem;
- Must be self-directed and have the ability to work independently as required;
- Effective group program facilitation skills as well as multi-tasking and administrative skills;
- Well-developed organizational time management oral written and interpersonal communication skills;
- Demonstrated effective conflict management de-escalation and networking skills;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends;
- Hours will be split between the various Community Impact Centre locations;
- Minimal to moderate physical effort required;
- Fast paced and demanding work environment;
- Moderate amounts of Lifting traveling sitting standing walking and driving personal vehicle required as part of this role;
- Employees are to be aware that many of our clients may experience difficulties or impairment at times which could result in them uttering threats discriminatory statements and other insults at your person. This may be in a raised voice or in seeing unpredictable behaviour up to and including the possibility of them becoming aggressive;
- Training on how to respond is provided but this is to be considered typical working conditions. Many of our clients are unaware of the impact of these comments.
