Marketing and Communications provide university-wide strategic marketing and communications advice and develop manage and implement marketing and communications activities (including advertising) across all Griffith audiences including prospective and current students staff alumni donors and corporate partners.

Job Description

Were seeking a creative Social Media Officer with the expertise to manage compelling content that boosts Griffith Universitys profile and drives engagement.

Working closely with the Social Media Manager in this position you will use on-trend formats and sounds to connect and engage with humour and flair.

  • Create engaging content that elevates the Universitys profile and celebrates research student alumni and staff achievements.
  • You will play an active role in moderation and engagement across all our channels.
  • Your challenge is to connect with and build our audiences through fun punchy and relatable content that inspires people and makes them laugh while being educational and informative.
  • You will work across all our campus to develop content that highlights the achievements and reputation of Griffith and what sets our university apart.

What we can offer

  • This is a fixed term (until 5th September 2026) full-time position primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
  • Base Salary $91843- $97964per annum plus 17% Superannuation.

Qualifications :

Tertiary qualifications in an area relating to journalism communication or marketing and/or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience education and training.
