Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level IT Support Specialist to join our growing IT team. This role is perfect for a recent graduate with an IT-related degree or someone with 1-3 years of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for providing both hands-on and remote technical support to our users assisting with networking Wi-Fi and end-user hardware deployments and contributing to the general administration of our Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. Opportunities for both vertical and lateral growth and upskilling.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone email and in-person addressing hardware software and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops laptops printers and other peripherals.
- Assist with the deployment configuration and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory.
- Contribute to the administration and maintenance of our Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online SharePoint Online and Teams.
- Assist with basic Azure administration tasks such as virtual machine management and resource monitoring as well as backup and recovery configuration and testing.
- Maintain timely and quality interactions with Zendesk ticketing system
- Create and improve documentation of technical issues and their resolutions in our knowledge base.
- Follow established IT procedures and best practices.
- Participate in IT projects such as software upgrades and hardware deployments.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
- Compliance with ISO 27001 and related controls
Skills:
- Strong understanding of computer hardware software and networking concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (e.g. Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Teams).
- Basic knowledge of Azure Active Directory and cloud computing concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Supporting Production and Development Environments.
