LEGAL ASSISTANT - JUNIOR
Permanent In-Office South Edmonton

Our client is seeking a Junior Legal Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time in-office role where attitude initiative and a willingness to learn are key to success. Hands-on experience is a strong asset but not required this role is ideal for someone with the right education drive and mindset.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
- Providing administrative support to the legal department related to residential lot and home conveyancing.
- Managing lot conveyancing requirements including tracking lot sales holdbacks and preparing reports.
- Preparing and distributing correspondence reports spreadsheets and documentation related to lot and home sales.
- Assisting with mortgage registrations discharges conveyance documents and financing security documents.
- Supporting land acquisition processes and registration of lots in builders names.
- Proofreading legal documents to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
- Managing legal filing systems including closed files and off-site storage.
- Creating and maintaining legal databases tracking closing dates anniversaries and expiry dates.
- Other general administrative tasks as assigned.

WHAT YOULL BRING
- Degree or Diploma in Legal Administrative Services or equivalent.
- Previous legal assistant or conveyancing experience is an asset.
- Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel Teams SharePoint PowerPoint).
- Ability to pass a criminal record check.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- 100% in-office role (not remote).
- Standard business hours with occasional overtime as required.
