About the Role
As Residential Conveyancing Team Leader youll be at the heart of our clients property department managing and developing a busy team whilst handling your own varied caseload. This dual role offers the perfect balance between leadership and technical conveyancing work allowing you to utilise your full skill set.
Youll be responsible for:
- Leading and developingthe residential conveyancing team providing guidance supervision and mentorship
- Managing your own caseloadof residential property matters from instruction to completion
- Building and maintainingstrong relationships with clients referrers and introducers
- Driving business developmentinitiatives to grow the departments client base
- Ensuring compliancewith all regulatory requirements and firm policies
- Implementing best practicesand improving team processes and efficiency
- Monitoring team performance and conducting regular file reviews
Your Caseload Will Include
- Sale and purchase transactions (freehold and leasehold)
- New-build developments
- Re-mortgage transactions
- Equity release matters
- Transfer of equity
- Unregistered and registered land transactions
What Were Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experiencein residential conveyancing within a UK law firm
- Proven team management or supervisory experience you must have successfully led or managed conveyancers previously
- Strong technical knowledgeacross all aspects of residential property law
- Excellent file management skillswith the ability to handle a varied caseload independently
- Experience using case management systems(ideally but not essential: Case Manager Proclaim or similar)
- Outstanding business development and networking abilities you should be comfortable building referral relationships
- Strong compliance awarenessand attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomouslywith minimal supervision whilst supporting your team
Desirable:
- CILEX CLC or solicitor qualification (though not essential for the right candidate)
- Established referral network or client following
- Experience implementing process improvements or training initiatives
