The opportunity

EY Private Tax practice believes a better working world is helping our clients navigate through a rapidly changing business and tax environment. As a Consultant you will be working for our growing EY Private Corporate Tax team and work with leading and inspiring entrepreneurs private equity backed companies and founder led businesses.

This is a hybrid position based Warrang Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

• Provide advice to clients on the application of Australian tax laws.
• Provide strategic tax planning and structuring advice for outbound groups.
• Provide post-deal taxation services and ad-hoc tax advice to acquired corporates.
• Provide advice to clients in respect of tax corporate governance policies and processes.
• Review corporate income tax returns and tax provisions.
• Project manage the delivery of tax services to your clients.

Skills and attributes for success

• Tax technical knowledge relevant to individuals trusts and private companies
• Experience in Corporate Tax Advisory and Corporate Tax Compliance ideally gained in a top-tier accounting firm or corporate business consulting environment
• Accounting skills in the field of corporate tax or appetite to develop these skills
• Ability to build strong and lasting business relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
