Description

The Janitorial Services Supervisor oversees the cleaning and maintenance operations within an educational institution. This role ensures that facilities are safe clean and compliant with health and safety standards. The supervisor manages janitorial staff coordinates schedules and monitors quality of service delivery.

Pay: $22.00/hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary basedon the applicants experience skills abilities geographic location and alignment with market data.

401(k) You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions dollar for dollar for the first 3%. For the next 2% ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise train and evaluate janitorial staff.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.

Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure classrooms offices restrooms and common areas are cleaned according to standards.
  • Coordinate deep cleaning and special projects during breaks or events.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Enforce health safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain documentation for inspections and compliance audits.

Inventory & Resource Management:

  • Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment; process purchase orders.
  • Ensure proper use and storage of chemicals and tools.

Scheduling & Coordination:

  • Prepare work schedules and adjust staffing for peak periods.
  • Collaborate with school administration for event setups and emergency needs.

Reporting:

  • Maintain records of work orders staff attendance and maintenance issues.
  • Provide regular reports to management on operations and improvements.
Qualifications
  • Must have Valid State Drivers License
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in janitorial or facilities services.
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards safety regulations and equipment handling.
  • Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies.
