Job Description

About the role:

  • Reporting to the Global Head of Technology Engineering & Infrastructure this leadership role manages the strategic alignment and relationship of technology services across Invescos Asia-pacific business divisions.
  • Represent Technology at relevant regional governance groups provide supporting management information to groups and board and ensure compliance to regulator directives.
  • Drive alignment of the technology roadmap(s) to the Asia-Pacific business strategies constantly looking for opportunities for technology to deliver a competitive advantage to the business using innovative and forward thinking.
  • Provide oversight to Technology activities and individuals in the region and ensure services they are delivered effectively and consistently.
  • Ensure consistent customer experience and operations across all aspects of Technology for Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively understand current and future business strategy of the Asia Pacific businesses and ensure that technology strategy is effectively aligned.
  • Lead and be accountable for end-to-end technology services for Asia Pacific clearly articulating their value proposition. Collaborate with other technology Senior Leaders to continually improve services and drive technology results required for the success of Asia Pacific business.
  • Develop relationships with local key Business Partners to better ensure active dialog and alignment on strategies priorities expectations and satisfaction level across all delegated technology services.
  • Act as a regional escalation route for the Asia Pacific based Business Partners and Technology staff. Ensure key regional business updates issues risks and metrics are handled in a timely manner.
  • Represent Technology at Asia Pacific governance groups (Executive and Board meetings) providing required reporting materials in advance and leadership on the alignment of business and technology strategies.
  • Drive solutioning scaling and servicing capabilities for day to day and strategic investment platforms.
  • Lead and manage a well-established team across multiple countries in APAC.

Requirement for the Role:

  • Bachelors Degree in a Technology focused discipline and/or relevant work experience from a multi-national company preferrable in asset management industry.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and delivery experience in Investment Sales Marketing and Enterprise Technologies including emerging technologies particularly AI related technologies all aligned to the Financial Services industry.
  • 8 years experience in leading teams at a leadership level with proven track record in leading and motivating a high-performing team across global locations.
  • Experienced in leading organizations through strategic changes and getting positive results.
  • Experience leading Agile teams focused on MVP delivery.
  • Self-motivated innovative forward thinker with a demonstrable proactive approach to solving business problems in this manner.
  • Enjoy challenging and thought-provoking work and have a strong desire to learn and progress.
  • Excellent relationship management and team building skills.
  • Strong written verbal communication and presentation skills.Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand.
  • Structured disciplined approach to work with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on more than one initiative at a time. Disciplined time management skills.
  • Ability to react positively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to develop operating policies and procedures based on business need.
