About us
As part of the Queensland Fire Department (QFD) youll play a key role in maintaining and improving the technology that supports Queenslands emergency operations. The State Operations IT Solutions team ensures that critical systems and applications are available reliable and effective.
Join us as a Senior Systems Analyst (AO6) and contribute to the design maintenance and enhancement of systems that directly support incident management disaster coordination and frontline operations.
Your opportunity
In this dynamic role youll be responsible for providing technical expertise systems analysis and support across key QFD applications and platforms. You will:
- Analyse configure and maintain operational systems that support emergency management and incident response.
- Translate business needs into effective system requirements ensuring functionality and reliability align with operational outcomes.
- Provide technical advice troubleshooting and guidance to ensure optimal system performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities manage system releases and test solutions.
- Support operations during disaster events ensuring continuity of critical systems.
What youll bring
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in systems analysis or systems administration within large or complex ICT environments.
- Strong understanding of incident and event management systems ideally with exposure to Queensland Disaster Management Arrangements (QDMA) and AIIMS.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of PRINCE2 Agile and ITIL service management principles.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills able to translate technical concepts clearly for diverse audiences.
- A collaborative adaptable and proactive approach to delivering solutions in a fast-paced operational environment.
