About the role
This position is a 24/7 service and requires employees to be available for day afternoon active night weekend and public holiday shifts.
The Family Support Worker provides collaborative and specialist support to provide family violence support and holistic support to women and children escaping family violence within a crisis and refuge setting.
The Family Support Worker will provide specialist family violence risk support to women and children escaping family and domestic violence provide holistic culturally safe client led support across a range of areas including safety independence well-being housing social inclusion and employment work collaboratively with a range of services and stakeholders to support women and children reach their goals.
This is a Full-Time/Part Time/Casual opportunity based in Port Hedland WA within the Hedland Womens Refuge. The position reports to the Coordinator Hedland Womens Refuge.
