About the opportunity

The School Coordinator has responsibility to provide senior strategy and business operations administration support and leadership to several academic units across UTAS Health. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall success of academic activities undertaken across the academic units focusing on a broad range of areas including finance people teaching and learning student experience future student engagement and health and safety.

What youll do:

  • Provide leadership mentoring and support to direct reports ensuring the effective and timely delivery of essential support services.
  • With a focus on finance people and infrastructure provide senior administrative services to School leadership teams.
  • Support the Business Manager and University financial services in the provision of operational financial management to the academic units.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning for schools/disciplines and wider UTAS Health.
  • Lead student engagement activities to support a strong student experience for our student cohorts.

What were looking for:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with demonstrated business acumen and senior level administration and/or operational management experience within a complex tertiary/business environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading managing and motivating staff through a genuine people-centric and continuous improvement approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship management skills including the capability to effectively liaise with all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to devise creative and effective solutions and plans for a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of financial management budget preparation and contract management.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $152033 comprising base salary within the range of $114282 to $129943 plus 17% superannuation.
