Our client is a diversified and fast-growing conglomerate headquartered in Mwanza Tanzania with operations spanning Real Estate Manufacturing Construction and Hospitality. Professionally managed and committed to excellence the organization plays a key role in driving economic growth through its investments across multiple sectors. Its portfolio includes the production and distribution of packaging materials aluminum products construction supplies non-woven bags concrete poles agricultural equipment as well as the importation and distribution of vehicles furniture and industrial machinery.

To support this continued growth the organization is seeking a high-caliber Finance Manager to join the team in Dar es Salaam.

Overview of the Position

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations ensuring strong financial controls accurate reporting compliance and effective financial planning. The role will play a critical role in strengthening the organizations financial governance and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

Oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements.
Maintain strong financial controls ensuring proper documentation reconciliations and audit readiness.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership highlighting key insights and variances.

Budgeting Forecasting & Planning

Lead the annual budgeting process for the business operations.
Develop cash flow forecasts financial models and scenario analyses to support business planning.
Monitor budget adherence analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.

Treasury & Cash Management

Manage daily cash flow ensuring adequate liquidity across business units.
Oversee banking relationships and ensure proper execution of transactions.
Evaluate and manage working capital requirements.

Cost Management & Operational Finance

Support production and operations teams in cost analysis cost-saving initiatives and profitability optimization.
Implement and monitor cost control measures across manufacturing and construction projects.

Taxation & Compliance

Coordinate all tax matters including VAT PAYE corporate tax and withholding taxes.
Ensure compliance with TRA regulations and liaise with tax consultants where necessary.
Lead preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Supervise and mentor finance officers and accountants across business units.
Collaborate closely with operational heads across Manufacturing Construction Real Estate and Hospitality.
Provide financial insights to support strategic investments and new business opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
CPA/ACCA qualification (mandatory).
Minimum 7 - 10 years of progressive financial management experience.
Experience in a diversified group manufacturing construction or similar multi-sector environment is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of regulations and financial reporting standards.
Proven experience in budgeting forecasting and financial analysis.
High proficiency in Excel and familiarity with modern accounting/ERP systems.
Flexibility to travel between Dar es Salaam and Mwanza as required.
