About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Engineering to lead a key part of a green field project that will manage a team covering process equipment packaging and utilities from design to execution and start up. This role will involve working with a global team for the required standard equipment solutions and providing leadership for local solutions. The role includes collaborating with internal stakeholders suppliers and engineering consultants to ensure project success. The Project Manager will ensure adherence to engineering standards and budgetary goals while driving innovation quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
The role reports to Project Director Engineering. The job location will be Green Field site Agar Malwa MP.

Roles and Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
- Technical Project Leadership
- Lead and coordinate the design and implementation collaborating with stakeholders suppliers and engineering consultants.
- Support Manager Design & Quality in gathering inputs for process packaging and utility design including supplier coordination and layout reviews.
- Develop specifications for tenders and RFQ packages related to process and packaging equipment and piping.
- Process Equipment
- Understand existing process machinery technologies and produce specifications aligned with company standards.
- Support the design of reliable process equipment in collaboration with the Project Manager Design & Quality.
- Involved in supplier selection evaluation tendering and contract award for process equipment.
- Oversee execution from ordering through commissioning and handover.
- Packaging
- Perform packaging machine capacity calculations and configurations to align with SKU and process capacities.
- Incorporate OEE factors into equipment selection for superior design.
- Explore packaging technologies and low-cost automation options with feasibility analysis.
- Produce specifications and integration plans from product feed to end-of-line packaging systems.
- Lead execution from ordering through commissioning and handover.
- Utilities Management
- Collaborate with global consultants and EPCM partners to develop specifications tender documents and RFQ packages for utility equipment and systems.
- Lead supplier selection evaluation tendering and contract award processes for utility equipment and associated piping works.
- Coordinate with Procurement to finalize boiler tender packages under the BOOT model ensuring alignment on KPIs and commercial terms.
- Oversee the execution of utility systems from ordering through commissioning and handover ensuring quality safety and schedule adherence.
- Manage key utility systems including ammonia refrigeration biomass boiler biogas boiler combined heat and power (CHP) compressed air hot water generator and HVAC systems.
- Understand and apply global consultant designs for ammonia refrigeration systems (-32C -28C -6C and -1C) and steam/condensate loops including energy recovery from fryer operations.
- Collaborate with the Global Engineering team to drive energy and cost optimization across all utility systems.
- Coordinate with the Electrical Project Manager to ensure seamless integration of utility packages with electrical and automation systems including Ethernet-based controls.
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards for utility system design installation and operation.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation in utility system performance reliability and sustainability.
- Automation and Control Specifications
- Review User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
- Collaborate with Tech Ops global engineering and suppliers to ensure P&IDs and control logic are kept up to date.
- Support programming FAT and SAT in coordination with Manager E&I.
- Budget and Capex Optimization
- Manage budgets for process and packaging activities identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Documentation and Vendor Management
- Review and approve engineering deliverables equipment selection tendering and execution documents.
- Design and review bid documents and provide procurement recommendations.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting
- Conduct regular project meetings to share lessons learned and best practices.
- Update stakeholders and the Project Steering Committee on project status risks and milestones.
- Project Governance and SOP Adherence
- Establish governance frameworks and SOPs for reporting procurement tracking and budget management.
- Conduct periodic SOP reviews for effectiveness and recalibration.
- Risk Management and Issue Resolution
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies with follow-up on action plans.
About You:
- Bachelors degree in Production Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Min. of 14 years of experience in process and packaging project management preferably in greenfield projects.
- Experience in process equipment design automation concepts and systems integration.
- Strong project management skills including budgeting scheduling and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations quality standards and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and AutoCAD.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Key Competencies:
- Led at least one greenfield project in the food & beverage industry in the past 6 years.
- Experience in hygienic design and selection of hygienic components.
- Working knowledge of HACCP EHEDG and 3A standards.
- Deep understanding of process and packaging CQV processes and documentation.
- Knowledge of coordination challenges across civil architectural and MEP services.
- Mindset of vertical startup.
