Following the establishment of our Property & Casualty office in Buenos Aires we have expanded with a dedicated office in Bogotá to support Life and Health reinsurance and drive growth across the region. The Opportunity :

Primary Responsibilities

Contribute with the achievement of Business Plan targets for Latin America ensuring profitable growth aligned with QBE Res strategic objectives.
Develop and manage a strategic clients pipeline strengthening relationships and improving visibility of broker portfolios and new business opportunities.
Enhance QBE Res market presence and reputation with brokers business introducers and industry bodies.
Identify and manage cross-selling opportunities leveraging forums and ad-hoc initiatives.
Analyze and share MI data to influence business decisions and support the Broker Distribution/Development plan.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and utilize e-trading platforms to ensure delivery of business plans and overcome barriers to growth.
Participate in product development including input on IT platforms and global product wordings.
Promote QBE Re internally and externally contributing to a culture of opportunity and knowledge sharing.
Communicate product changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Maintain and enhance knowledge of trading platforms and market dynamics demonstrating awareness of market cycles.

About you:

Preferred Competencies/Skills

At least 5 years of experience writing reinsurance treaties in Central America.
Strong communication negotiation and influencing skills.
Excellent business acumen and organizational ability.
Deep understanding of broker & cedents networks and product lines.
Proactive self-driven and collaborative mindset.

Preferred Knowledge

Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry including regulatory frameworks.
Broad and deep understanding of the Central America markets and its key drivers.
