The Role

The Quality Coordinator/Project Accountant supports LUZCOs Operations Manager and Director of Accounting by maintaining our internal systems ensuring quality standards are met and supporting project financial workflows. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment and plays a key part in keeping our operations quality processes and project accounting running smoothly.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

Quality Coordination
  • Develop update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Quality Management Plan (QMP)
  • Coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) corrective actions and process improvements
  • Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with QMS and industry/regulatory standards
  • Review workflows for efficiency and consistency across teams
  • Track analyze and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for quality metrics
  • Train team members on quality processes updates and best practices
  • Partner with operations and leadership to support continuous improvement
Project Accounting
  • Set up and maintain client billing terms project structures and rate tables in Deltek
  • Open and close projects and ensure accurate project configurations
  • Process and record client purchase orders
  • Determine billing cycles based on master service agreements (MSAs)
  • Maintain accurate labor categories and billable hour structures
  • Monitor accounts receivable and support financial audits
  • Ensure contractual financial and documentation requirements are met for each client
  • Assist with financial reporting and project transparency initiatives

Essentials to Succeed:

  • Bachelors degree required (Engineering degree a plus)
  • Strong Excel and Power BI skills required (or equivalent tools/experience)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Highly resourceful with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to shift priorities quickly
  • Willingness to learn new software and tools as the team grows
  • Ability to work extra hours as needed based on project cycles
  • Experience with data entry
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with QMS and internal audit processes
