Job Summary:
The Sr Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial management and reporting for our organization. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles a passion for analytics and the ability to streamline financial processes.
Must Haves:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- SAGE 300
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in real estate or property management accounting.
- Familiarity with financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Leadership experience particularly in mentoring junior accountants.
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements and reports.
- Manage the monthly and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate and oversee audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations.
- Implement financial strategies to optimize profitability.
- Work closely with the finance team to prepare budgets and forecasts.
- Identify areas for improvement within accounting processes.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
