The Financial Crime Surveillance (FCS) team is part of Westpacs Risk Division and is responsible for detecting deterring and fighting financial crime.

Whats the role.

Step into a pivotal role as a Senior Risk Analyst acting as the operational SME to support both the team and the Team this role you will guide and mentor analysts ensure quality and consistency in daily operations provide expert advice to drive efficiency uphold best practices and strengthen the teams risk goals.

  • Lead and guide: Support the team manager with day-to-day operations and help the team run smoothly.
  • Develop capability: Conduct training sessions peer reviews and quality monitoring to uplift team performance.
  • Be the expert: Act as the go-to SME for complex queries and provide clarity on best practice.
  • Drive collaboration: Attend project and leadership meetings sharing insights and supporting initiatives.
  • Deliver outcomes: Perform core activities with precision while assisting in continuous improvement.

Training and Support

Well set you up for success with a comprehensive 7-week New Starter Framework including:

  • Face-to-face training in the office with your team manager on hand for guidance and support.
  • Full systems learning and accreditation so youre confident and ready to hit the ground running.
  • After training youll move to a hybrid work model 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home each week.
