Financial Planning Manager

Purpose of the role
This role is to maintain and enhance the accuracy scalability and integrity of Wizz Airs complex financial planning models. The role is critical to the timely delivery of reliable financial forecasts and supporting strategic decision-making in a dynamic high growth environment.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- One area of responsibility is to maintain Wizz Airs financial planning and forecasting system. This includes:
- Responsibility for consolidating all financial plans and deliver financial statement plans for the organization especially to Senior Financial Planning Manager Head of Financial Planning and CFO.
- Be the main point of contact for all operational and financial KPIs and play a mediator role between the Commercial and Finance departments in case of route and revenue plans.
- Scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of business decisions participate in the elucidation of variances (actual vs. budget forecast vs. pre-forecast etc.).
- Contributing to month close activities: financial reporting and analysis.
Other areas of responsibility:
- Digitisation by continuously focusing on process improvement and automated solutions.
- Contributing to the improvement of the financial planning and forecasting system through digitisation projects or system implementations.
- Serve as FP&A system champion/subject matter expert with regards to model building and coaching teammates.
Experience
46 years overall experience with 3 years of experience in an equivalent FP&A role financial modelling or data analysis
Hard skills
- Solid understanding of IFRS Accounting Principles
- Advanced expertise in Excel is essential and proven ability to analyse complex datasets and financial models.
- Experience of working with Power BI SAP Analytics SQL or Python is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks in financial processes.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Finance IT and other business units to drive improvements.
Education
Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting finance economics or related fields.
Chartered Accounting qualification or equivalent is a plus
Language
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Skills and competencies
Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills.
