Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science School of Computing and Data Science (Ref.: 533742)
Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science School of Computing and Data Science to commence from 1 July 2026 or as soon as possible on a 1.5-year term with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics Statistics Actuarial Science Mathematical Finance Quantitative Risk Management or a related field. Candidates must possess relevant research experience in probability stochastic analysis and optimization. Applicants with knowledge in machine learning as well as a track record of publications in top Actuarial Science Mathematical Finance or Operations Research journals are preferred.
The appointee will conduct research in Professor Alfred Chongs group. Potential topics include but are not limited to holistic risk management strategies forward preferences reinforcement learning as well as centralized and de-centralized risk sharing.
