Job Summary (Principal Mechanical Engineer Tampa FL)
- Lead the design of HVAC Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for healthcare building projects.
- Establish and build the mechanical engineering team for a growing MEP firm.
- Manage mentor and supervise junior engineers.
- Develop technical deliverables including construction plans and specifications.
- Coordinate project requirements and status updates with clients.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies for local permitting and submission of permit documents.
- Perform construction administration duties such as attending meetings conducting site visits reviewing shop drawings and assisting with change orders and project closeout.
- Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.
- Utilize Revit for design and documentation.
- Possess a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Preferred: Experience with AHCA and healthcare projects.
